Blog Entries

From 2011 through 2018, I volunteered as a family support volunteer with Transitions LifeCare (formerly Hospice of Wake County). During that time, I was paired with several woman in their 60s-90s. I ran errands, played board games, listened to stories from their lives, or transcribed their original poetry.

I was asked to contribute to the hospice blog. Hey, Sugar is from my time with Ms. Dorothy; Playing Scrabble is from my time with Ms. Eva, and Viewing Life Through Lenses of Hope and Beauty is from my time with Julia.
